Your garments are in good hands at The Lace Art. This policy explains how we look after the items you leave with us and what we ask of you.
Dropping off
Please bring garments clean and with empty pockets. Point out any stains, damage, loose embellishments or care instructions when you drop off. We record each item with your name and contact details.
Delicate and vintage items
Lace, silk, beading, sequins and vintage or heirloom pieces need extra care. Older fabrics may be weaker than they appear. We will talk through any risks with you before starting, and we may recommend a different approach to protect the garment.
Valuables
Please remove detachable brooches, jewellery and valuable accessories before leaving your garment with us. We cannot be responsible for items left in pockets.
When your garment is ready
We will contact you by email or phone when your garment is ready to try on and collect. Please collect your garment within 30 days of being notified.
Unclaimed items
If a garment has not been collected 90 days after we notify you that it is ready, and we have been unable to reach you, the item may be considered abandoned. Before that happens we will make reasonable attempts to contact you using the details you provided. Please keep your contact details up to date.
Storage
Garments are stored with care in our studio while we work on them and while they wait for pickup. Bridal gowns are stored hung and covered.
